These craft ideas are simple to complete and usually only require few materials. You can create anything from simple decorations like wreaths to more elaborate creations such as picture frames.

Which type of glue works best with toilet paper rolls?

All glues perform differently depending upon which product you choose. Some brands may require mixing first, whereas others simply apply directly to the tubes.

Check the manufacturer’s directions carefully prior to purchasing. For kids crafts with toilet paper rolls, we like to use glue sticks, Elmer’s glue and a hot glue gun, typically used for crafting.

What is the center of a toilet paper roll called?

That cardboard center of a roll of toilet paper is called the core. It comes in different thicknesses, but typically they range between 1-3mm thick. The thicker ones tend to work better for more durable projects.

While most people just chuck them into the trash or recycle bin, for kids craft projects these are pure gold. There are so many fun projects to make and ways to upcycle and reuse toilet paper cores.

We are just getting started with toilet paper tube craft ideas and we’ll be sharing a ton more with you soon. Stay tuned!

Are toilet paper rolls sanitary for crafts?

Yes they are! The core itself is made up of corrugated fiberboard which means it has been treated so that bacteria cannot grow on it.

Even though it has had toilet paper wrapped around it for most of it’s life, it has been in your bathroom very close to your toilet and probably exposed to germs.

If this concerns you, you can disinfect toilet paper cores with a spray down of Lysol or a bleach and water mixture. Be sure to let it dry fully before using.

I have seen some people recommend baking empty toilet paper tubes to disinfect them, but I’m not sure that’s a good idea. They are flammable, after all!

Do you think kids enjoy doing creative activities?

I know they do! As parents, sometimes we feel like the only thing on their minds is what time dinner will be ready and when bedtime is coming next.

But if we remember to give them a chance to express themselves creatively, then not only can they have fun with other children, but they’ll also develop skills such as problem solving, creativity, communication, emotional development, confidence and self-esteem.

Witch

This little lady can’t for her favorite day of the year, All Hallows Eve! Why is the witch associated with Halloween? The answer is simple: witches have been a part of Halloween since its very beginning.

In fact, many people believe that there were originally just two types of spirits on earth – good and evil.

On October 31st, however, these two sides would come together and exchange gifts; this was believed to be an act of love between them. This eventually transformed into our current day trick-or-treating.

Frankenstein

I feel like Frankenstein is the monster that is just misunderstood.

He was created by Dr Frankenstein who wanted to create life from death. So he used his daughter’s body parts along with her organs to build him.

It’s not his fault he’s ghastly and awkward. He just wants to make friends, right?
